What is Radiesse Plus?

RADIESSE™ dermal filler is setting a new standard for facial contouring and augmentation. The filler immediately adds volume to safely contour, correct, and beautify facial features while continuing to work over time. The dermal filler has patented microsphere technology and stimulates the body to produce new collagen for a soft, natural look that lasts. RADIESSE™ dermal filler is made of unique patented calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres that are suspended in a water-based gel carrier. When injected into the skin, these microspheres initially perform as a filler - they immediately provide facial volume for a soft, natural look. The transformation is noticeable right away. Over time, your body will gradually absorb the gel carrier, leaving the very tiny, smooth microspheres to remain. These microspheres start a process in your body called neocollagenesis, or the creation of new collagen. New collagen production will begin in your own body and encourages collagen growth around the injection site(s).

  • Keep your head elevated for the remainder of the day and use several pillows to rest your head on at night.

  • No traveling right after the treatment.

  • If a prescription for an antibiotic is given to you, please take all of them as directed. Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen or Vitamin E supplements for five (5) days after the procedure.
  • Do not receive any massage, laser, or facial treatments within the following 2 weeks.
  • Please avoid tanning until after all bruising resolves.

How long does this procedure last?
The actual injection process takes roughly 20-30 minutes, but the procedure requires no downtime and patients can return to work and other scheduled activities immediately. Though it is important to avoid extensive movements in the treated facial areas, which can move the gel out of the targeted areas.

When can I see the results?
Immediately upon injection, RADIESSE™ restores volume to smooth out the signs of aging and continues to work over time. The calcium spheres require about 1-2 months for your body to metabolize and takes about another 1-2 months for full results to show. In many cases, results may last up to a year or more.
